We decided to sell our Oshkosh house due to a substantial mold problem which we didn't want to deal with. I was intrigued by selling the home "as is". I talked to four companies. Two made low ball offers which were at least $100k less than our ultimate price. One made a very competitive offer but the price was subject to reduction once we executed an offer to purchase and they performed their due diligence. So the offer was more like granting them an option to purchase. It was also going to take them months to close. We dealt with Joe from CB. Although his offer was lower than the other offer, CB's was a real offer and was not subject to any contingencies. CB was also able to close in slightly less than a month. After the other company took longer than a week to get us the written offer, we switched to CB because of the certainty of their offer and their ability to close quicker. Joe got us the written offer in about 24 hours. The actual sale went as it was supposed to. Their were no surprises. Although this was the only time I have dealt with house flippers, it appears there are many businesses which are less than reputable. Our experience with CB was very positive and I recommend them highly.
